A Channel and Opportunity to Explore Asian Cultures with their Own Unique Spirit & Expression

The annual fun-filled family event celebrates the diversity of Asian cultures through an enchanting journey of music and dance, performances, demonstrations, arts, and handcrafts, all highlighted by a tasty selection of authentic Asian cuisine.

Muay Thai Kickboxing

To be a good person is the most important thing. Young Muay kickboxers are trained in the fighting arts, given sage advice to be good students, become good teachers and stay away from a path of cigarettes, alcohol and drugs.

Chinese Royal Carriage

Royal carriage of China was used for carrying elites by 4 to 8 strong male for their short and long distance travels, special occassions like weddings and ceremonial events. This piece of artifact has been preserved for hundreds of years.

K-Pop Dance

Contempory Korean muisc & dance includes styles and genres from around the world, such as pop, hip hop, R&B,experimental, rock, jazz, gospel, reggae, folk and more. 

Khon Mask Dance

Dramatic performance with graceful dance movements, glittering costumes, vocal and instrumental representations of the glorious Rama, the hero who brought order and justice to the world. Traditionally, Khon was performed in the royal courts, to reinforce respect for those of a higher age and status and the mutual dependence between leaders and followers.

Taiko Ensemble

Japanese percussion instruments  played for religious ceremony, theatrical shows, military action and communication. The drumming tells stories, stuns live audiences with their thundering rhythms, dynamic movements, and intense showmanship.

Martial Arts Demonstrations

Asian inspired martial arts with numerous studios around town for kids and adults to practice. Students are taught the general structure of the class, basic commands, the importance of self-defense and some basic combinations of self-defense moves.

Dragon Boat Racing

Dragon boat racing is no more a Chinese water sport – it is now quite popular in the corporate arena as a team building corporate event. It motivates and unifies the members for common goals as the company plays together and stays together. Performed by SOS and PUFF Dragon Boat Racing Team.

Face Painting

Transform yourself to be anyone or anything you want to be. Be creative and escape reality as you would on Halloween. Role play, and express yourself. Face painting is suitable for all ages and genders. Do you want to be an Asian animal like panda, tiger, elephant, or something else?

Kids Activity Tents

Our various tents will have suitable activities for kids like origami, handcrafts, & games that showcase what kids would do in the respective countries. Adults are welcome to join too as some might miss their childhood games.

Asian Street Food

Small size meals and huge in taste, everything from fast food to street vendor dishes are all over park. Where you will dine may be the biggest decision of the day.

Asian Themed Photobooth

Make sure to take your family pictures with our various reps dessing in their traditional outfits. Then you’ll be able to show your friends these photos as if “you have been to Asia”.

Thai Dance Miami

Thai Dance Miami presents an Archeological Dance series called “Rabum Borankhadee” created by Thailand Fine Arts Department from the ruins found over 2,000 years ago. The performance is directed by Director Kai Whitcomb.

Fruit & Vegetable Carving

This is a traditional and highly cultivated art in Thailand. Pumpkins, melons, pineapples, and papayas are carved into traditional Thai designs and hallowed out to become containers for fruit salads.

Buddha Exhibition

At the Wat Buddharangsi Tent see which Buddha represents each day of the week. Every Sunday, there’s free meditation class taught by Buddhist Monks from 3 – 5PM. Class is open to the public with limited seating, FCFS.

Ikebana Lessons

Explore Ikebana – the ever evolving Japanese art of flower arranging. Free workshop and flower arrange classes are provided by Ikebana International Miami.

Iranian Pavilion

Authentic Persian arts, literature and handicraft: See the Persian New Year setup (Nowruz), the art of calligraphy, ancient musical instruments, how the poetry of Rumi, Hafiz, Saadi and the Rubaiyat of Khayyam is written, handicraft and arts of Iran. Also: Peace exhibit (stop the concocting war) and Spice exhibition: see what spices relish the Persian dish.

India Educational Booth

India’s civilization is among the oldest in the world, and for about 5,000 years now, India has been celebrating life and all its pleasures. If you find exotic, colorful, and mysterious places memorable, this is the best place for you. There are many legends to tell and if you listen to them, your imagination will surely run wild.

The Peace Mural Foundation

Nearly 20 years in the making, Huong’s Peace Mural is the culmination of 30 years of searing memories that brings history to life and depicts the universal pain of war and hope for peace. In its entirety, the Peace Mural is over 800 feet in length and 8 feet tall, comprised of nearly 2000 paintings. The exhibition often includes a number of free-standing pieces from Huong’s private war/peace collection.

Handicraft

Asia has rich tradition of handicrafts, the artisians have expertise in carving in wood, jewellery design, and using different mediums such as flower, cloth, metal pieces and more. Handicrafts form an invaluable part of part of the cultural heritage.

 

Asian Painting

Admire the painting of botanicals and landscapes and ponder on the beautiful nature of Asia. Chinese paintings are done on rice paper or fabic with ink, water and color. They can be mounted with nice silk border or framed to hang in your home or office.

Calligraphy (Thai, Japanese, Korea, Chinese, etc.)

The graceful serene art form called  calligraphy is a greek word meaning “beautiful writing” and and is seen everywhere from art galleries to restaurants, and tattoo shops. There are different styles of writing, phrases, written traditional vertical or modern horizontal. Come get yourself a piece of the art.

Henna - All-Natural Indian Beauty

Henna is a centuries-old tradition in India used to create intricate hand art designs. The paste of a ground plant, naturally in a reddish-brown dye, is used to create temporary “tattoos” which last between 1-3 weeks. In India, henna has traditionally been used on women before special occassions, holidays, and weddings.

Tai Chi

Tai Chi is not only a mere form of exercise. It can look like that but in reality and basing on the principles of every movement, it is more than what meets the eye. Tai Chi focuses in a lot of things but most especially with two main factors: health and science.

Asian Antiques & Figurines

Great way to adorn your rooms with antique clocks, jewelry items, vintage fashion, silverware, ivory or faberge eggs, Chinese porcelains and figurines. Talk to the vendors about each piece’s history and unique stories.
